CEO & Speech Language Pathologist
Stephanie Hayes is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of 1to1 Rehab, 1to1 Therapy Services. As a director, Stephanie supports the ongoing learning and clinical service of over 200 therapists (speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, registered dietitians, behaviour therapists, nurses, social workers) and continues as a Clinical Mentor. She has been practicing as a Speech Language Pathologist for over 35 years with experience in communication disorders from different perspectives: education, preschool, hospital, treatment centre and community homecare. Her particular interests are in speech sound disorders, motor speech, developing language & literacy, social communication and cognitive communication. She authored two parent communication facilitation programs. Interdisciplinary practice has been a focus while working in the areas of feeding & swallowing, augmentative communication and acquired brain injury. Since 2000 she has chaired 1to1’s successful Accreditation Certification with the Canadian Service Programs CASLPA, Accreditation Canada (2004, 2009 and 2013 Exemplary Status) and CARF International Accreditation 2017. Accreditation awards various levels of achievement. 1to1 has been awarded Accreditation Certification to 2020 at the highest level of achievement.
Stephanie has been a status only and an adjunct lecturer for the University of Toronto Rehabilitation Sciences for approximately 10 years. She is a member of the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO), Speech-Language Audiology Canada (SAC) and Ontario Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (OSLA). Stephanie has served on a number of national and provincial committees for school health services, outcome measurement, clinical standards and mentorship. She is a certified member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).receiving multiple ACE awards. On the provincial level, Stephanie has served on advisory committees for Ontario Assistive Device Program for orthotics, communication aids, on various consultation committees for Ontario Ministry of Health, CCACs & LHINs, Children’s Treatment Centre of Simcoe York, and Home Care Ontario. Presentations for research and clinical service have been given provincially, nationally and internationally.
Stephanie enjoys cottage life in Haliburton Ontario, swimming, and acrylic painting. As a CEO, Stephanie thrives on the success of 1to1 clients, and clinical mentoring of therapists. She advances the high standards of 1to1 Rehab and 1to1 Therapy Services and 1to1 Autism Therapy with clinical research, innovative approaches, and community advocacy.
