1to1 Autism Services was founded by a team of Speech-Language Therapists that believe in the importance of collaborating for the treatment of children with autism. 1to1 Speech Therapists have experience working with children with autism to develop speech, communication and social skills.

1to1 Autism Therapy Speech Language Therapists are registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and are members of the Ontario Speech-Language Association (OSLA).

What services are offered for children with autism?

The Speech Language Pathology program offers comprehensive speech therapy assessment, treatment and consultation in an interdisciplinary environment. 1to1 Autism Therapy Speech Therapists consult to the ABA and Early Start Denver Model program. Therapy location, time and goals are individualized to meet the needs of the client and family.

Speech Language Pathology is an evolving field and our therapists are always seeking new credentials, experience and training to be able to provide therapy of the highest caliber. Some of their certification and experience include:

What is a Speech Language Therapist?

A professional with a master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology. They are trained in typical speech, language and swallowing development and speech, language and feeding/swallowing delays and disorders.

Trained to complete standardized and informal speech, language and swallowing assessments.

Trained to develop and deliver evidence-based intervention plans through direct intervention and consultation with parents, professionals, classroom and resource teachers.

What is a Communication Disorders Assistant?

A professional with a university degree who has completed additional training as a Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) from a specialized post-secondary course. CDAs are valuable members of the speech language team who are trained to carry out speech, language and communication therapy.

Supervised by Speech Language Pathologists in accordance with the Regulated Health Professions Act in Ontario.

How much does Speech Therapy Cost?

Speech Language Pathology may be covered under your extended health insurance benefits, alternatively you may access therapy through the Ontario Autism Program. All of 1to1 Autism Therapy’s Speech Therapists are qualified and licensed.

1to1 Autism Therapy’s Behaviour Therapists use Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) to assist children and youth in developing skills in the areas of: communication, expressive language, receptive language, imitation, social skills, play skills, joint attention, self-help skills, personal independence, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and behaviour. Early Start Denver Model

1to1 Autism Therapy has developed a comprehensive Early Start therapy program based on the Early Start Denver Model research, curriculum and parent training for your child from 12 months to four years of age.
